A NEW RADIATOR verses A RECORED RADIATOR.......

If you have a radiator and it appears to need a lot of repair work to it, here are your options......

NEW: This would involve getting a new, complete radiator for your vehicle/unit.

OR

RECORE: This method is where we will use your existing tanks and brackets from your "bad" radiator and put them onto a brand new "American Made" core.

Things to consider before making your final decision:

#1) How long do you plan on keeping your vehicle/unit? A new radiator typically has a one year warranty.

#2) Perfect fit: There are not too many things more annoying and troublesome than having to “retrofit” a new product!
New radiators are made "across the pond." They are suppose to be a "perfect fit" but most are not.

A RECORE will give you a perfect fit, every time.
We RECORE radiators with at least a two year warranty. If you plan on keeping your unit for many years, a recore
usually is the most effective choice to make.

Cores made right here in the midwest United States!

#3) Consider the longevity of your radiator. Such as, when it does need to be repaired, what are your options? MANY, many of the "new" radiators are constructed with United States scrap metal that is shipped to other counties, where it is constructed into a NEW radiator. When a repair needs to be made on the tubes, the tubes are so thinly built, there is only very thin metal to solder onto. Also, many of the aluminum core radiators with plastic tanks that are suppose to be "OEM" quality, have been "skimped" on in areas such as, the tanks may be just small enough that a replacement tank does not fit on properly like it is suppose to, and if the tank is not a "perfect fit" you are back to purchasing another NEW radiator! In the radiator repair business, 1/8th of an inch is a "make" or "break" issue as far as things working and fitting correctly.

A RECORE is ALWAYS repairable, unless a stick goes through it! However, you can always be assured that a core can be built, just to suit your specific application! And just a note to add here, just because your CORE may need to be built, does not mean this will cost you more money than a core that is in stock. It just means it is not a common enough core to be built on a continuous basis!

#4) Weight of the radiator. And this is my FAVORITE topic!!!!! You can buy yourself a NEW radiator. When you get that New radiator, weigh it. Actually, you don't even have to weigh it, you can pick it up. Now, go and pick up your radiator that you deemed as a junker; feel the weight difference???? The NEW radiator is so much lighter, I am always amazed that the difference can be felt just by lifting them up! If you are putting this radiator in a tractor, industrial equipment, such as a semi, forklift, skidloader, which one, in your opinion, would stand up the best? So imagine how much STRONGER your RECORE would be! We "load up" the solder in your solder wells! You do not have that in a new radiator. I will challenge anyone on this topic! This difference is like night and day!

SO, THE MORAL OF THIS PAGE IS THAT NEW IS NOT ALWAYS BETTER. YOUR OLD TANKS ARE MADE MUCH STRONGER THAN ANY BRAND NEW RADIATOR YOU BUY NOW!
